Salty Vets Fishing and Scalloping

The Beautiful Crystal River, FL

My goal as your Captain is to create a safe and fun environment for everyone that comes aboard my craft. I want my guests to make memories, laugh a lot and have a blast. I am so blessed to be able to have my passion be my career.

Hello and welcome to Salty Vets Fishing Charters! I’m excited to take you on the trip of a lifetime. You’ll have a great time with the stunning Gulf Coast as your backdrop.

We will spend the day aboard my 2019 Cape Craft. This boat can comfortably fit up to 6 anglers without tangling lines. She has a 115 Suzuki engine that will have you on top of the fish before you know it. We will head out a maximum of 15 miles, which leaves you plenty of time to fish to your heart’s content.

There is no minimum age for kids – if the parents are happy so am I. I am all about family and making precious memories you will cherish for a lifetime. Please bring along life vests for the little ones.

Kids love the scalloping trips, which can best be described as an underwater treasure hunt. So much fun! Experience is not necessary, and you can easily reach the 2.5 gallons per person limit. These trips are available in the morning and in the afternoon or as a fishing combination for a full day of fun on the water.

Live bait is prepared before the trip which gives you maximum time for fishing. For those new to fishing, this will also give you an edge in catching your first fish. One of my biggest passions is getting people into fishing and I will show you the tricks of the trade that will have you fishing like a pro in no time.

You will be using top of the line equipment, including Berkley and Okuma rods and reels. If you have your own lucky rod you are more than welcome to bring that along, just let me know beforehand so I can make room.

There is a cooler on board for any food and drink you decide to bring. Have your own cooler in your car, and transfer your packed lunch across on arrival. Then you’ll be able to take your catch home in your own cooler at the end of the trip.
